Bukola Ifemade is a purpose-driven insurance leader committed to leveraging risk management and financial protection as catalysts for sustainable economic development across Nigeria.

With a deep-rooted belief that inclusive insurance ecosystems are foundational to resilient families, thriving businesses, and long-term national prosperity, she has dedicated her career to advancing insurance penetration as a tool for socio-economic transformation.

She holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Actuarial Science and maintains distinguished professional credentials, including membership in the Chartered Insurance Institute of the United Kingdom, Associate Membership of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, and Fellowship of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB). She is a Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22000:2018, and an ILO Certified National Trainer in Financial Education and Women in Digital Business, reflecting her commitment to building institutional capacity and inclusive economic participation.

With over three decades of executive experience at leading insurers including AXA Mansard and NSIA Insurance, Bukola has consistently championed strategies that align commercial insurance practice with sustainable development outcomes.

Her leadership extends to the broader industry ecosystem through her service as Past Chairman of the NCRIB Lagos Chapter, former Council Board member, and current active participation in multiple national committees, where she advocates for policy and market reforms that expand access to financial protection for underserved populations.

Driven by a vision of a Nigeria where economic growth is underpinned by financial resilience at the household and enterprise levels, Bukola assembled a formidable team to drive the Insurance Sector Strengthening Program (ISSP). Through ISSP, she is advancing a sustainable narrative for the African insurance industry — one that prioritizes market development, consumer empowerment, and the structural integration of insurance into national economic planning as a driver of inclusive growth and sustainable development.
