Olufemi Adetola Osundosumu

Mr. Olufemi Adetola Osundosumu was born on 31st March, 1972. He attended People's Primary School, Ring Road, Ibadan, and got his primary school leaving certificate in 1983. He proceeded to Ibadan Grammar School, Molete, Ibadan, where he obtained his W.A.S.C. Certificate in 1988. In 1991, he gained admission into Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, to study Chemical and Polymer Engineering, and he graduated with a 2nd Class Lower B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemical & Polymer Engineering in February 1998.

He served as a Youth Corper at Government Secondary School, Mada Station, Nasarawa State, between August 1998 and July 1999. Shortly after completing his NYSC, he secured employment with Ebun Industries Limited, Ikeja, Lagos, and worked with the company as a Shift Engineer. He later got an employment with STACO Insurance Plc in July 2001 as a Superintendent and rose through the ranks and file to Deputy Manager before his exit from the company after 19 years of meritorious service.

He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN), obtained in 2010, and an Associate Member of the Certified Board of Administration of Nigeria (CBAN), obtained in 2006. From January 2011 to January 2013, he was an Assistant Manager in the Branch Operations Department at the Head Office. He was later transferred to the Apapa branch in 2013 as Head of Technical (Underwriting and Claims Departments), and was promoted to Deputy Manager the same year.

In 2017, he was saddled with the responsibilities of Head of Technical for two branches when the Apapa branch was relocated to share the same building with the Yaba branch office (DMH). He was transferred to Head Office in May 2019 as Head (Fire and Engineering) Department for a period of six months, before being transferred to the Victoria Island branch in December 2019 as Head of Technical (Underwriting & Claims) — the position he held before his exit from the company in May 2020.

He is a chartered and professional insurer, a prudent and astute underwriter of excellence, and is happily married with children.
